2025 Spring Registration
The Ephrata Baseball Association (EBA) offers Ephrata Area baseball players an opportunity to compete at the ‘recreational’ level as well as the ‘competitive’ level, with a variety of divisions offered to players aged 5 to 14. Our ‘In-House’ League offers players aged 5 to 12 the opportunity to play at the recreational level, primarily in the Ephrata Area. We also enter 10U, 12U, and 14U teams into the Lancaster County Youth Baseball League (LCYBL), which play at a more competitive level throughout Lancaster County with home games in Ephrata.

Registration Information
Registration opens on Sunday, November 3rd and closes end of day Sunday, December 29th, 2024.
Your player’s ‘2025 Spring Age’, is simply their age on April 30th, 2025 (age before May 1st, 2025)
Due to field and coaching availability in certain divisions, the EBA may close/end registration before the December 29th end date. Registration is on a ‘1st-come-1st-serve’ basis. A few days advance will be given if we see the need to close registration for a division early. We recommend registering early to guarantee a spot.
There are absolutely no late registrations due to setting teams, assigning coaches, and player evaluations. We are sorry in advance if you miss registration as December 29th, is a firm date.
For our EBA In-House Leagues: ‘Rookies’ = T-Ball, ‘Minors’ = Coaches Pitch, ‘Majors’ = Kids Pitch from 40’
A $20 multi-player discount per player in the same household (players must be registered at the same time). · Register at https://ephratabaseball.org/Spring-Programs. **Monthly Installment Payment Plans will be available**
Optional indoor workouts may start as early as Nov. 18th for Majors – 14u levels. Players must complete registration in order to attend.
Player Evaluations & Team Rostering
Evaluations are mandatory for all players who register for the "Majors-10U Select" division to "14U Division".
If your 7/8/9 yr. old evaluates for the Majors, and gets placed in the Minors, you will be refunded $25, and $25 will remain with the EBA as an evaluation fee. If they make the Majors, there will be no further cost adjustments. 11 and 12 yr. olds may be placed in the ‘Majors’ with no refund ($25 evaluation fee). All 9 yr. olds+ must evaluate.
Your player must make a 2025 ‘Majors’ team or higher in order to be eligible for our 2025 Fall 10u-14u LCYBL teams. If your 7 or 8 yr.-old is placed at the ‘Minors’ level, they will only be eligible for our ‘Minors’ level in the Fall of 2025. If you feel your 7 or 8 yr. old is ready to face ‘live’ pitching this Spring (from kids, not coaches), strongly consider having them registered/evaluated for our ‘Majors’ division. As a reference, in Spring 2024, (12) 8 yr. olds made the Majors, (27) 8 yr. olds played Minors, and (3) 7 yr. olds made the Majors, (30) 7 yr. olds played Minors.
Upon registering your player for ‘Majors’ division or higher, a ‘Cheddarup’ link will be available for you to reserve your player’s evaluation date & time. Expect 30-45 minutes for your players evaluation by the EBA and High School Baseball Staff. Location: EBA Indoor Facility Dates: Jan. 4-5 & Jan. 11-12.
The EBA and its coaching staff will assign players to teams at our discretion. Rosters will be released late January
Uniform & Hat Fittings Recommended (***to confirm sizing you selected on the registration form***)
Jersey, hat, and pant fittings will take place at your player’s evaluation. If you have a younger player that does not need to evaluate, you must stop by the EBA Indoor Facility (across from 211 Park Ave.) any time during player evaluations and you will be assisted. Fitting dates/times for non-eval players: Jan. 4th from 12-3pm or Jan. 11th from 12-3pm.
Spring Season Fundraiser Information
Our only fundraiser this Spring will be the ‘EBA Mega-Raffle’. Expectations will be 1 card per household (for those with multiple players registered). This year, if you do not plan to participate in the fundraiser (which we hope you do), there will be a mandatory $40 ‘opt-out’ fee required at the turn-in date for the fundraiser. More info to come.

What to expect after registration:
Rookies (T-Ball) and Minors (Coach Pitch) Teams: Teams will begin practicing in late March or early April and you'll hear from your coach with more details around that time. Typically, a team will practice 1-2 times per week and when games start it will be a max of 3 times per week. Each coach makes their schedule according to field availability and other variables. No events are scheduled on Sundays unless weather cancellations require make ups. The season typically ends in early June, but your coach will provide your schedules. Please note any scheduling conflicts during registration and we'll try to accommodate. We ask for your child's school as we try to place them on teams that will practice close to that area.
Majors & 10U Select Teams: For ages 7-10 we have a Majors division and 10U Select teams. The Majors division will play in the Ephrata-area with the season beginning in Late March and ending in early June. All players 9 and 10 that play in the Major division and 10U Select will be evaluated and placed on the proper teams at the discretion of the EBA Coaches and staff. If your player is 7 or 8-years-old and wants to play in a 10U level, they will also need to be evaluated.
10U/12U/14U Select Teams: To assist with team assignment for the select teams, we provide an evaluation opportunity that is completed in early January for each age level. All players must be registered to attend our Winter Workout sessions and evaluations in January.
All 10U/12U/14U select rosters will be determined by late January and coaches will then communicate team practice schedules and season expectations. Your coach will determine their team's practice frequency and schedule, but you can usually expect 3-4 practices per week starting in March and then an additional 1-2 games per week beginning in April. The regular season ends in mid-to-late June and if playoffs are achieved then the season may continue through mid-July.
Coaches may also enter their team into tournament(s) and that will be explained at the beginning of the season. Please let your coach know of any scheduling conflicts as soon as you know and remind the coach as you progress through the season.
